A graduate of Washington and Lee University and recipient of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Medallion, Rick Stein started in the insurance industry in 1992 with Palmer & Cay, a storied regional brokerage firm in the Southeast. He served as Co-CEO and Managing Partner at both Lanier Upshaw from 2005 to 2008 and Fletcher|Stein (formerly McNeill, Garrison & Fletcher) from 2008 until 2017.

Today, Rick is the president and founding partner of the Wellhouse Company combining his vision, capital, and expertise of over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Rick relishes spending time with his wife Rebecca, their four children, and their families, studying history, philosophy, and religion. He is active in the community with experience as board member of Fresh Ministries, University of North Florida, Daniel Foundation, Jacksonville’s Museum of Science and History, and Episcopal High School of Jacksonville.
