From Saint John’s Cathedral: Thank you for Exploring Hogans Creek with Groundwork Jacksonville!

On Saturday, January 21, Cathedral District – Jax members were invited to join members of St. John’s Cathedral Church and Groundworks Jacksonville for a tour of Hogans Creek that boarders the Cathedral District.

“It was certainly wonderful to learn about the precedent-setting restoration plans for Hogans Creek. These plans will remedy flooding, improve water quality, and create a habitat of fish and wildlife and a bounty of recreational activities. All would agree that the challenges ahead became clear on our urban hike past the Maxwell House coffee factory and Jacksonville Transitional Housing. We collected $190.00 on the day of the hike, this money will be donated to Groundwork Jacksonville by the Green Spirits of St. John’s Cathedral.” – St. John’s Cathedral News
