Tim Hoal is the operating partner of Hardwicks Bar, a beloved establishment located in the vibrant Cathedral District of Downtown Jacksonville. With a unique blend of expertise in both the hospitality industry and historic preservation, Tim has successfully merged his passion for local history with his commitment to delivering exceptional dining and entertainment experiences.
Tim graduated in 2003 from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with degrees in Historic Preservationand Architectural History. His background in art and architecture laid the foundation for his deep appreciation of Jacksonville’s rich history, which he brings to his work at Hardwicks Bar. Prior to his role at Hardwicks, Tim served as Collections Manager for the Earl W. Newton Collection and the Linda and Walter O. Evans Collections, both of which are now part of the SCAD Museum of Art. In this role, he curated and managed significant art collections, further honing his organizational and managerial skills.
Under Tim’s leadership, Hardwicks Bar has flourished as a key part of Jacksonville’s thriving hospitality scene, offering a welcoming atmosphere and a perfect blend of craft cocktails and local charm. His dedication to the community, along with his background in history and preservation, informs both his business philosophy and his approach to building long-lasting relationships with guests and collaborators alike.
