William Michaelis is the vice president of real estate and general counsel for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Iguana Investments, where he manages the execution of large-scale Khan Family development projects in Jacksonville. His responsibilities include business planning, land and asset management, project financing, and legal oversight, as well as coordination with the City of Jacksonville and the Downtown Investment Authority on permitting, entitlements, and planning. He joined the organization in May 2023.
William played a key role in the completion of One Tower Court, the 137,000-square-foot multi-tenant Class-A office building that serves as the Jaguars’ business headquarters. He is also involved in the development of the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences, marina support building, 78-slip marina and Riverwalk extension in Downtown Jacksonville and the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn and Lemon Bar in Neptune Beach, Fla.
Prior to his tenure with the Jaguars, he most recently served as an attorney with Rogers Towers, P.A., in both the firm’s Government and Regulatory Department and Real Estate Department. While there, he represented clients in the areas of land use law; local government procurement and relations; and acquisition, development, sale and leasing of commercial properties.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, William serves on the board of directors for Jax Riverfront Alliance and JAX Chamber.
